More bits in the making.

Rhino with Forgeworld armour to start with.

Be aware that the original Warsmith pictured below will only be my icon bearer
as he is not big and hard enough for the job. I have plans for another figure
to be my Warsmith. Strangely I have 3 original Warsmiths so get use to seeing
him used as a bog standard Choas marine.

Iron Warriors(Part 1).

Sticking with Chaos, I have finally managed to grab some bargains

off fleabay and start my Iron Warrior army. I have used a mixture of

GW parts, Forgeworld and spares. The new Forgeworld Heresy parts also

mix nicely with the Iron Warrior look.

I`m only at the sculpting stage so hang on for the fully painted piccies.

Hope you like them ?

This is my test subject Black Legion Terminator aimed for

Space Hulk use. The base was from Fenris Games and once again

I went for a basic paint scheme. One thing I noticed after painting

the Space Marines was how nice it is to paint a clean model and

the size gives to greater accuracy with the paint brush.

Ok another re-vamp but this time I remembered to take the piccies before

work commenced.

The shots below were after a 3 day battle with Fairy green spray and a small brush.

Plus endless re-gluing of parts and replacing parts that just fell to bits.

At this point I was getting ready to re-base coat them.

And now the finished article.

The colour scheme is very basic using:
Abaddon black.
Leadbelcher & Iron breaker for the silver
Balthasar,Gehennas & Auric for the gold.
Agrax wash for gold and Nuln oil for silver.
Dawnstone for the light grey highlights.

A word of caution on the Fairy green stuff to remove paint. It is not as effective as

brown Dettol and requires some serious elbow grease. Only plus side is it has really no

smell to it compared to the stink that Dettol gives off.

Blood Angels Terminators

Five Terminators given a re-vamp after painting over the worse paint

job ever and re-sticking more parts than came on the original sprue.

I also had to base them as well.

I keep saying this,”I must take some before and after shots”.

Anyway the owner of these beauties likes the re-vamp very much.

I have been adding to my Russian armour as of late

with these two heavy beauties from Battlefront and

a couple of light weights from Zvezda.

What strikes me about the IS2 and ISU 152 is

their shear size, its intimidating. Saying that

having an IS2 and a ISU 152 hiding in some woods

as back up brings a smile to my face and worries the

hell out of the opposition.

I added the two BT5`s as an after thought and intend

to use them as spotters(cannon fodder).

Came across a metal Ork Nob, painted very badly,in
one of a large number of dust covered boxes I have.
He originally came with a mace and axe and I
suspected him to be more Warhammer fantasy than 40k,
but on checking he appears in Orks Collectors Guide
as part of the classic range. Saying that I still suspect
he has a very close twin look a like in the fantasy range ?

Anyway removed the axe and mace(replaced with shoota in each
hand),added a boss pole made from spare parts and plasticard,
added additional armour(back plate and jaw plate) and put
him on a jazzed on base.

Now he looks like an Ork moving up in the world of
Ork hierarchy until somebody bigger rips of his arms
and hangs them on their own boss pole.

Ork Work and lots of it

I have been attending to my Orks as of late and
everything in this post is newly finished.

My Orks needed a base of sorts so out came the
bits box, plasticard and some filler. I blatantly
borrowed an idea of using a CD case holder as a
starting point from http://www.ifelix.co.uk. I then
added a walkway to another ground based fort.

IMG_5902

I added some fun detail with a dead Blood Angel
minus his arms and a foot tied up in wire to
the outside as a sort of Ork welcome mat.

IMG_5880

A few Ork glyphs made from plasticard

were stuck on.

IMG_5882

IMG_5884

An access hatch was added for the Gretchin.

IMG_5885

A nice bloody access point was also added at

ground level.

IMG_5889

I also painted up some more Orks and Gretchin

and made a free standing Ork Glyph to warn off

anybody in the near by area.

IMG_5895

IMG_5914

Oh and one last thing I added a Kromlech

cannon nicely covered in rust and slightly

kit bashed.

IMG_5905

IMG_5906

Also forgot to mention that the walkway/bridge

comes straight off so it makes storage nice

and easy.

More object markers and scenery for 15mm

wargaming.

Found these sitting a the bottom of a box

so added them to the mix. Funny, I never

remembered the orks being so

big and having such cool weapons.

Thanks to Leeman’s sharp eye he has quite correctly

pointed out these are not apparently Gorkamorka

so now I’m thinking old OOP Nobs ?

Somebody has suggested they are Black Reach Orks ?
