Elder Scrolls Call to Arms is the board game version of the game made by Modiphius which uses 32mm figures in a skirmish type system of game play.

They make a limited amount of terrain and I wanted to re create a small house commonly found in Skyrim. Timeline miniatures provided me with an ideal starting frame using a Viking Hut from their Saga series of games. Houses in the Nord parts of Skyrim have a Viking look and theme to them so it was ideal for the initial shape.

I basically clad the hut in model wood planking and created a veranda using balsa wood and cock-tail sticks. Balsa wood was also used for the top wood bit on the roof and faux fur for the thatch roof.

This was the original Timeline model below.

These are my finished figures for the New California expansion set

for Fallout the board game by Fantasy Flight Games.

And now for a group shot of the complete set.

Fighting in the wasteland has never been so much fun.

I have always been a big fan of the Fallout video games
and was unable to resist the new board game from Fantasy
Flight Games. It seems Fallout is very popular at the moment
with the release of Fallout 76 and another board game called
Fallout Wasteland Warfare by Modiphius.

Anyway leaving the game itself to one side which I will review
in another post I wanted to concentrate on the excellent figures
and my paint schemes for them.

The board game comes with five figures. You get a Brotherhood

Of Steel in Power Armour, a ghoul in a suit with a plasma pistol

, a Super Mutant with Power Hammer, a female waste lander with 3

barrel gun and finally a Vault Dweller in jumpsuit with a rifle.

I have based all five on screen captures from Fallout 3 and 4 and

gone for the toxic, radiated, wasteland look on the bases.

Hope you like them and I really enjoined painting them. Makes a change

from WWII all the time.

Picked up the board game on the cheap the other day and I have started

painting up the first of 74 miniatures(help lol). These guys are called

Pict Hunters and roughly resemble Indians. They come under the evil

side(the Overlord team) and are basically cannon fodder for Conan and

his axe.

You get some really nice models with the board game with a high

amount of detail so look out for the next batch coming soon.

The canoe is a random extra.

My boys have suddenly got into Dungeons and Dragons

and I got the job of painting up the figures.

So far I have only completed two but it lots of fun

painting them up and getting a blast from the past

at the same time.

Redgar is a mighty Human Fighter and Jozan is a cleric.

I shall attempt Lidda and Mialee next.

28mm is not my usual figure painting size and I think it

still needs a bit of work ?
