In my endless pursuit of taking pictures of finished
models and getting the picture just right I am
just loving playing around with backdrops. You can
just simply find an image on the net or one of your
own and just print it out. While you are checking out
the piccies I hope you notice my latest skip find. I found
tile and a half of metallic tile. I`m thinking Space Hulk
cargo bay or individually removing the single squares for
basing figures ?

It is no overreaction when I say that this is EXACTLY what I was thinking of for my finished minis as well. I’m a huge fan of the backdrops GW uses and was looking for hellish, Warp-influenced landscapes for display. Especially on the Bloodletters I’m working on these days.
So thank you for pointing this out. The space and inferno backdrops are beautiful. Could you specify where you have gotten these? And have you just used a raw image or did you modify them as well?
I just realized that the inferno picture is our own little Sol. Nice find!

Glad you like them. They were bought off fleabay for £2 each. Just search for mcdermottrading or sun posters. I have used both raw and altered images before but they are not shown here.
Awesome!! I’ve been experimenting with a plain black background but these look pretty cool. Might try something similar next time.
